Scott’s “Paul Bunyan Workout”

I just got home a little while ago from busting up firewood for about 6 hours today and man am I tired!

My Dad and I cut up a VERY large oak tree that had fallen across the fence and blocked access to his deer stand. At the base the tree was about 2.5  feet thick or so and about a good 50-40 feet high. We sawed the tree up into firewood sized chunks (18 inches) and brought them up behind his shop. Today my job was to bust these chunks into piece we could bust with the log splitter (which got broken not long after I got out there today). I ended up busting about 30 logs by hand with a couple of wedges and a sledgehammer. After I finished that I started busting up those chunks into firewood FOR SIX HOURS. I can feel my lats and my back are going to be sore tomorrow! I am about to take a hot bath, take some aspirin and go to bed as I will be back at it again tomorrow morning.

Needless to say this is a very good workout. I can really tell the difference after working out with P90X for 50 + days. I really had a lot more strength and stamina today. P90X helps you in SO many ways. Makes all kinds of activities easier.

I was supposed to do YogaX today but I think I got a lot of exercise today. Tomorrow is supposed to be P90X Legs & Back but I am thinking I might skip it after chopping wood again.

Hope you  had a great workout today, whatever you did. If you did not workout, my question is Why Not? It only take 90 days to get in the best shape of your life!
